Description

Zetpil™ Suppository Advantage

Zetpil™ delivers nutrition via the rectum with the use of suppositories that have a unique, all- natural formulated base that has revolutionized not only this mode of delivery, but also the ability to obtain nutrients in a far more efficacious method.  These suppositories are a result of combining natural ingredients with a non-irritating, rapid melting (5-6 minutes), readily absorbable (superior retention), antioxidant base material (free radical scavenging ability) and delivers the nutrients directly into the bloodstream in less than 20 minutes in a highly effective manner. Oral supplements are exposed to the hazards of stomach acid, digestive enzymes, food-related breakdown, first pass metabolism, and other bioavailability issues in the gastro-intestinal system.

Additionally, many raw materials simply have a very low bioavailability , and only achieve around 10% or less (commonly <1%) absorption rates, even if the patient is in optimal health condition. Compromised health, age, or certain conditions that result in an inability to take oral nutrients often preclude these patient populations from obtaining the necessary nutrition to stay healthy which often exacerbates chronic health issues.

Zetpil™ suppositories are a NOW solution to delivering the necessary nutrients to patients, on a daily basis, that is both easy, comfortable and cost effective. The safety and noticeable effectiveness of these products will far outweigh any initial hesitation you have regarding this mode of delivery.

What makes the Zetpil™ Genistein SR Different?

Zetpil™ Genistein HPM SR is unique because it represents the marriage of science and reality.  By embracing the physical properties of genistein (low oral bioavailability and high enzymatic metabolism), the researchers and scientists at Zetpil™ conceived that an alternative delivery method may increase the levels of genistein one could achieve over a longer period of time.  Based on research-proven concepts of absorption-enhancing natural compounds, excipients, therapeutically effective dosages and state-of-the-art production methods, Zetpil™ has formulated a genistein product which is cost-effective, safe, non-competitive, avoids enzymatic breakdown in the stomach and liver and is patient-friendly.

A Sustained Release (SR) mechanism has been used to help maintain the optimal dosage over a longer period of time.  Also, a homeopathic dilution of 60X of Genista Tinctoria has been added to enhance the efficacy of this product and as such may be considered homeopathic in nature, as indicated by the “HPM” (HomeoPathic Medicine) after the product name.

What is Genistein?

Genistein (4′, 5, 7-trihydroxyisoflavone) is one of the major soy isoflavones and has been extensively studied over the past few decades for its health-promoting properties and its correlation to lower incidences of breast and prostate cancer in Asian countries where soy intake is high. Genistein has also been shown to be an anti-oxidant, chemopreventative and anti-inflammatory compound.

What is the problem with Oral Genistein?

Genistein has moderate absorption in the Gastrointestinal (GI) tract, but then suffers from extensive metabolism resulting in its low oral bioavailability overall  After oral administration, Genistein is mainly present as its metabolites (i.e. glucuronides and sulfates).  Pharmacokinetic studies show that genistein has less than 15% absolute bioavailability in humans when administered orally. Taken together, these facts may explain the large variations of results seen in clinical trials with Genistein.

The Therapeutic Potential of Genistein

Genistein has been clinically studied to determine not only its health-promoting values, but across various disease states to identify its disease-fighting properties. Genistein has shown tremendous promise in cancer prevention, heart disease, inflammatory conditions, weight gain and bone health.

*Has not been evaluated by the FDA

CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH

Genistein has been shown to:

  • improve blood pressure,*
  • reduce thickness in the walls of major heart vessels like the  aorta*, and
  • lower cholesterol levels, including LDL levels which can cause the build-up of plaque and lead to heart disease (atherosclerosis)* .http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3181048/

DIABETES AND EYE HEALTH

“Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a common complication affecting approximately 50% of diabetic patients within 15 years after onset of the disease” and there are no current curative treatments. Recent studies suggest that genistein can act as an “innovative anti-inflammatory agent and counteract retinal inflammation associated with diabetes”.*  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2965567/

CANCER

Genistein has been proven to be a novel cancer preventative, or chemopreventative, compound*. Genistein has shown beneficial effects on reducing serum PSA (prostate specific antigen). Genistein may also protect against the development of hormone-based cancers (ie: breast and prostate), as well as be synergistic with current cancer treatments (ie: chemotherapy).* http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4010305/

BONE HEALTH

Scientific evidence has shown that genistein is able to both prevent age-related bone loss as well as restore bone density and quality, particularly in post-menopausal women.  Genistein has shown better responses than alendronate (Fosamax), raloxifene and estradiol, without the side effects.*
