Chelation

Heavy Metal Toxicity and Rationale for Chelation

Chelation therapy is a treatment used for removing heavy metals from the blood. Although some metallic elements are required by the human body for normal function (ie: iron), many metals cannot be metabolized by the body and their accumulation can cause toxicity and impairment of normal physiological functions.  Many researchers and professionals believe heavy metal toxicity is directly linked to many degenerative diseases affecting our nervous, immune, and cardiovascular systems.*

We all take in heavy metals, predominantly through our diet (heavy metals contaminate water and soil sources for the plants and animals we ingest) and daily routine (ie: driving, cleaning, etc).   The problem arises because our body’s normal excretion of these toxins is slower than the accumulation and many of us lack adequate amounts of natural “detoxifiers” to effectively remove these substances.

The Zetpil™ Difference

The most common therapy, CaNa(2)EDTA, has been on the FDA “Generally Recognized as Safe” (GRAS) list for the past sixty years.  Chelation treatment can only be administered by a professional in an approved setting because the process usually involves intravenous injections of a chelating agent because oral forms of EDTA have been shown to be poorly absorbed (2% to 5%), and topical forms have been reported as not being absorbed at all.

IV treatments are typically $75 to $125 per treatment and are not covered by most insurance companies.  This does not include the time and money required for travel and office appointments.

An innovative and more convenient chelation therapy is with rectal suppositories.

The Zetpil™ DMSA and CaNa(2)EDTA suppositories offer safe, effective, IV-comparable, and convenient alternatives to traditional chelation therapy. In fact, 5 Zetpil CaNa(2)EDTA suppositories, at a cost of about $20, are equivalent to 1, 300mg IV treatment. *
